Description

Versamix VM1350 Model Portable Concrete Batch Plant

The Versamix VM1350 Model Portable Concrete Batch Plant has been designed with portability, fast and easy set-up, and production in mind.

Manufactured exclusively at our facility in Alberta, Canada the VM1350 offers 1350 cubic feet of cement storage, and three 24 ton/22 tonne aggregate bins.

The plant is fully automated with a cement weigh up and 3” metered water system to streamline the batching process efficiently.

Our innovative control system can be integrated with any Automation Platform.

This model includes two significant enhancements.

Radius edges of both the cement silo and weigh bin have been designed to optimize discharge and a knife gate has been integrated into the cement silo for serviceability.

With very minimal setup time the VM1350 will get your onsite operation up and going to produce concrete on demand with high profitability.

FAQ

What are the transport dimensions and weight of the VM1350 Portable Concrete Batch Plant? +

The VM1350 has an overall transport length of 67’ 10” with a kingpin length of 66’ 9”. Transport width is 10’ and height is 13’ 6”. The GVWR is 63,000 lb (28,577 kg).

The VM1350 is considered an over-dimensional load in most jurisdictions but is easily permitted and does not typically require a pilot vehicle. Transport regulations vary by location, so consult your local authority for specific requirements.

How is the VM1350 Portable Concrete Batch Plant set up? +

The VM1350 is a self-erecting, single-load portable concrete batch plant.

It can be installed on level compacted ground, a concrete pad, or rig mats without the need for a crane. The plant uses six hydraulic leveling jacks and six manual stabilization jacks.

The cement silo is transported in a laid-down position and raised using an onboard electric-over-hydraulic power unit. The conveyor belt is also hydraulically raised into operating position.

Initial mechanical setup can typically be completed in a few hours with two to three personnel. Total setup time, including electrical, water, and admixture configuration, is commonly one day or less depending on site power and system configuration.

Versamix Industries provides detailed setup training and calibration support.

What is the aggregate capacity of the VM1350 Portable Concrete Batch Plant? +

The VM1350 includes three aggregate bins, each rated at 24 tons (22 tonnes).

Each bin features:

  • Four double-ended shear beam load cells for accurate weighing

  • 14” x 40” discharge opening

  • Clam gates with double-solenoid inching valves

  • Grizzly screen to prevent oversized material

  • Prefabricated moisture sensor mount (Bin #1 – Sand)

  • Vibrator mounting provisions (standard on sand bin)

  • Calibration weight hangers

This design provides precise aggregate batching and consistent material flow.

What is the cement storage capacity of the VM1350? +

The VM1350 features a 1,350 ft³ self-erecting cement storage silo capable of holding approximately 54 tons (49 tonnes) of Type 10 GU cement (based on 80 lb/ft³ density).

Silo features include:

  • WAM pulse jet dust collector

  • Pressure relief valve

  • High-level warning system with pinch valve

  • Manual knife gate for serviceability

  • 10” discharge with butterfly valve

  • Aeration pads and vibrator for material flow

  • Radius-edge cone design for optimal discharge

This configuration supports high production and reduced material hang-up.

Does the VM1350 use weigh-up cement batching? +

Yes. The VM1350 uses a 130 ft³ cement weigh bin (CWB) capable of holding up to 10,400 lb (4,717 kg).

The weigh-up design allows batching to continue even while the storage silo is being filled. This increases production efficiency and reduces downtime during high-volume pours.

The cement handling system includes:

  • Pulse jet dust collection

  • 10” transfer screw conveyor

  • Auxiliary 10” inlet for secondary cementitious material

  • Aeration pads and vibration system

What are the power requirements for the VM1350? +

The VM1350 requires:

  • 480V, 3-phase, 100 AMP, 60Hz service
    OR

  • Minimum 85 kW / 125 kVA generator

Connection may be hardwired or fitted with a pigtail connector. All electrical connections should be performed by a certified electrician.

What are the water supply requirements? +

The water system requires:

  • Minimum 8 PSI

  • 300 GPM flow

  • Maximum 40 PSI supply pressure

A typical configuration includes a 2,500-gallon elevated water tank.

Water system components include:

  • 7HP 4×3 centrifugal pump

  • 3” turbine water meter

  • 3” butterfly control valve

  • Y-strainer filtration

  • Auxiliary 2” mixer truck fill line

Can additional cement storage or supplementary cementitious materials be added? +

Yes.

The cement weigh bin includes a prefabricated 10” inlet for auxiliary screw conveyors, allowing integration of supplementary cementitious materials.

Additional storage is commonly added using a horizontal cement silo (cement pig/guppy) with pneumatic transfer into the primary storage silo.

The weigh-up design allows the silo to be filled while batching continues, supporting large continuous pours.

How accurate is the VM1350 batching system? +

The VM1350, equipped with Marcotte automation, delivers repeatable batching accuracy within ±1% of target volumes for each material.

Does the automation system generate batch tickets and invoices? +

Yes.

Marcotte batch software is fully customizable and can generate:

  • Batch tickets

  • QC documentation

  • Delivery instructions

  • Invoices

  • Accounting integrations

The system integrates with major accounting platforms and can include dispatch, telematics, and AI-optimized batching modules.

What types of projects is the VM1350 used for? +

The VM1350 portable concrete batch plant is commonly used for:

  • Tilt-wall construction

  • Reservoirs

  • Paving and bridge projects

  • High-rise construction

  • Mining and energy projects

  • Remote infrastructure builds

Its portability and production capacity make it suitable for both temporary and long-term operations.
